May was cremated and her ashes were buried with her husband John Jenkins. They are buried at the Christ Episcopal Church cemetery in Accokeek, Maryland, USA.The woman in a red dress was painted by May. It was her most admired painting. All of her paintings are still in storage, I will post pictures of the others when we get them out.
